My Conclusion
I feel that the most successful solution was in the case of the chickens that were too heavy due to being so selectively bred to increase their quantity of meat, where their own the weight pulls them down, and they are too weak to get back up. Because of this, they end up lying on dirty ground and are prone to sores and infections. This is even worse because disease could then pass on to the people who eat the meat. The solution for this was to put plans in place to 'shrink' the chickens back down to a smaller size again increasing their health and letting them be a more comfortable size. I believe this is the best way to fix this issue because it then helps both the chickens and the humans. It will affect the chickens by giving them more mobile and providing them with a higher standard of living. The chances of them laying still in the muck will be reduced, and hopefully eliminated altogether. Humans will benefit from this because the solution plans that have been made aim to keep the chickens larger then they were at their original size before they were selectively bred, but still a more healthy size, so we will have a high amount of meat. The chickens, because they are healthier and can move more freely, will have less infections and sicknesses, which means that there shouldn't be any unwanted contaminants that then can pass on to humans who eat their meat. I believe this is a good plan, and I hope that it is put in place soon.
